Brochette III (USA) | | Overview: | Developing awareness of the significance of modern pentathlon to the Olympic values and history is the main objective of the Cultural Commission. This is achieved through education and a cultural program which has been successfully undertaken at the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 and the World Championships in Warsaw 2005. Mr Schormann is also a member of the IOC Cultural and Olympic Education Commission.

The Commission assists event organisers facilitate Masters competitions and promotes the sport at this level through encouraging the “older” pentathlete to continue competing. | Pierre de Coubertin Commission | | Chairperson: | Mr Klaus Schormann (GER) | | Members: | Mr Joël Bouzou (FRA) Mr Jacques De Navacelle de Coubertin (FRA) Prof Norbert Mueller (GER) | | Overview: | The Pierre de Coubertin Commission is responsible for the maintaining the ideals Pierre de Coubertin had in introducing Modern Pentathlon back into the Modern Olympics. The Commission continues to promote Modern Pentathlon based on the vision of the “complete athlete”. | Honorary Auditors | | Chairperson: | Mr Alexander Peirits (AUT) Mr Helio Meirelles (BRA) | | Overview: | The Auditors are responsible for the annual review of the UIPM Financial statements. |
